Vivica A. Fox
Vivica A. Fox (* 30. Juli 1964) ist eine US-amerikanische Schauspielerin und Produzentin.
Ihre Karriere begann sie bei der Fernsehsendung „Soul Train“ und spielte Rollen in den Daily Soaps „Days of Our Lives“ und „Generations“. Zur Hauptsendezeit war sie an der Seite von Patti LaBelle in der NBC-Sitcom „Out All Night“ zu sehen. Der Durchbruch gelang Fox 1996 mit Rollen in „Independence Day“ und „Set It Off“.
Fox spielte in Filmen wie „Booty Call“, „Soul Food“, „Why Do Fools Fall in Love“, „Kingdom Come“, „Two Can Play That Game“ und „Boat Trip“ mit. Sie hatte Hauptrollen in den kurzlebigen Fernsehserien „Getting Personal“ und „City of Angels“ sowie in „Missing“, für die sie mit dem NAACP Image Award als Beste Schauspielerin in einer Dramaserie ausgezeichnet wurde. Fox spielte in der Lifetime-Filmreihe „The Wrong…“ mit und verkörperte Candace Mason in „Empire“.
Mit „First Lady of BMF: The Tonesa Welch Story“ gab Fox ihr Regiedebüt. Der Film handelt von der First Lady der Black Mafia Family in Detroit.
