Kevin Smith
Kevin Patrick Smith (* 2. August 1970) ist ein US-amerikanischer Filmemacher, Schauspieler, Komiker, Redner, Comicautor, Autor und Podcaster.
Bekannt wurde er durch die Low-Budget-Komödie Clerks (1994), bei der er das Drehbuch schrieb, Regie führte, mitproduzierte und in der er die Rolle des Silent Bob des Kifferduos Jay and Silent Bob spielte. Jay und Silent Bob traten auch in Smiths späteren Filmen Mallrats, Chasing Amy, Dogma, Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back, Clerks II und Jay and Silent Bob Reboot auf, die hauptsächlich in seinem Heimatstaat New Jersey spielen.
